Subtension – Polar [C4C Recordings]

0

Subtension, possibly my favorite name when it comes to forward thinking fresh Drum & Bass. His outside of the box thinking paralleled with the consistent effectiveness of his tracks makes him one of my favorite producers to follow. His latest Ep out on C4C recordings features a simply beautiful cut titled “Polar”

“Polar” opens with a raining synth. Windy 80’s pads drift into icy temperatures as the tune approaches the first dance section. A tactically placed RnB vocal delivers the listener into a breathing bassline and tight punchy drums. For a track to be released on C4C carrying this vibe is a testament to just how much of a gem it really is.

When a producer can get a label like C4C out of its own comfort zone and release something so scenic and emotional its extremely dope all by itself, let alone the other fun cuts featured inside the EP. Be sure to keep your ear on Subtension as we continue into 2018 and beyond.
