The first solo artist to return to the 1 More Mix series… It’s Skorpion!

85 mixes later. He returns with another 100% productions mix. We loved the first one but this one BLOWS OUR MINDS!

“I’ve always had trouble expressing myself. I have a tendency to withdraw and a proclivity for overthinking anxiety. I didn’t find alleviation with the typical outlets of therapy or even excessive exercise. While my chosen career of chemistry and drug discovery provides intellectual stimulation, it does nothing to help me express the deep emotions I feel but tend to bury inside. When I discovered music production, it was like a portal was opened from my heart, and my soul could finally peer into the world — I could paint my story with sound, and I’ve never looked back. Finally, I had a way to express myself.

Since discovering my absolute passion for sound-storytelling, I’ve produced more than 250 tracks across genres ranging from ambient, lounge, and dubstep to my true love, neurofunk. I’m always reflecting on some context in my life while producing, and so the sound of that track takes shape as my experience does. With the 100% production mix “PAIN BEHIND MY EYES” I wanted to re-examine my long journey with sound, boil it down to the tracks that re-instill the emotion that originally inspired them, and establish the direction that my sound as Skorpion will take in the future. The mix features tracks ranging from 60-190 bpm, with the first half focused on my brand of neurofunk, and the second half exploring my deep dub and downtempo alter-ego.
