I wanted to kick off this year with a bang, so all January our Artist of the Week series will not only feature a spotlight on artists who haven’t been AOTW yet, but they will be my personal picks for who I think is poised to dominate in 2023, and what better way to kick off the series than with a group I have continually worked closer with throughout 2022.
STONX is our first AOTW for 2023! I make it a point to try and not play favorites with people I closely work with, to make sure I can shed a fair spotlight on artists of all styles around the world, but sometimes people are so hard working and consistent, I just can not deny them their time to shine. Stonx fits perfectly into that category, with weekly production streams, mix sessions, running their own label and being present and supportive of the DNB community at large. If there is one thing that I have learned from being in the DNB scene over 20 years now, its that when you find someone with talent, motivation and a sense of community, that’s a sure fire recipe for success.
