Tonight, October 5th, 2024, dnbid returns to Nighthawk Chicago for a huge installment of the “Jungle Got Soul” featuring acclaimed producer Ben Soundscape and vocalist Collette Warren. This duo is an absolute powerhouse in the drum and bass world with experience touring and performing together surpassing 10 years, and prior to their second full US tour this year dnbid worked tirelessly behind the scenes to produce this show. Both of these artists have successful releases across many labels, such as Sofa Sound, Dispatch, Liquid V and Innerground, and have been hailed across every airwave for their energetic and soulful approach to live performance. Having just announced their debut collaborative EP called “Last Drop” on Intrigue Music, you can be sure to hear some of these new gems at the show prior to release.

Located in the Albany Park neighborhood in Chicago, Nighthawk features an amazing patio area that fortunately the residents of the city are getting to enjoy late this year – this means the performance will be setup outside amidst a perfect fall day. The vibe will be set by the dnbid crew, featuring resident DJ’s Stunna and Renan, as well as local heavyweights Jon Cross and LO!. As the evening moves into night the sounds of the city spill onto the patio, immersing the guests in the lively atmosphere of downtown Chicago.

Jon Cross is a Chicago producer that I have been very vocal about, my artist profile with him really gave me an understanding of his artistry and music, and I am thrilled to see him perform tonight amongst peers. Check out this funked-out jam from Cross, released on DNBB Records:

The show tonight is a $15 donation and we hope we can see tons of local support! This act took a lot of work and collaboration to bring to the city, and the dnbid crew relies on this support to continue putting on the best drum and bass shows in Chicago. These guys have been doing it for decades, and the amount of knowledge, professionalism, and know-how is always on display when you go to a dnbid event.
