Blanke – Breathe (Deadbeats)
Is always surprising to see a dubstep artist in the US throwing a bet on producing Drum and Bass as somehow there is always a little barrier between both genres in this side of the world. This time LA`s native producer “Blanke” seems to be natural to bang some fresh DnB as he takes the wheel by doing a really good job on his latest track “Breathe” stealing your attention from the beginning. Aiming to become an anthem, is impressive how it keeps that classy electro vibe from similar music colleagues such as Metrik or Dimension without losing Blanke`s own heavy soul feeling on every bit of the song.
Opening the voyage with an astonishing piano that leads you straight into a melodic trance, which easily starts growing along with a pitched voice that brings a poppy feeling until the whole lyrics rises up and smashes into an uplifting build up fulfilled with an strong arpeggiated synthesizer that step by step comes in an envelope charging the energy for the drop. A straight combination between tight sub bass lines and that catchy arpeggiator from the intro makes the perfect match for the record, giving the chance a few bars after for the voice to come back and get the dancefloor mood so high it probably is impossible to stop dancing.
Is kind of curious that in this case there was no need of grimy bass lines as is common on Blanke`s productions or sets, but seems to work really fine if we consider the UK`s chart standards for Mainstream
Bass Music nowadays.
This byte is soon to be released as part of his brand new Ep ÆON:ONE EP available in early 2022 in all platforms via “Deadbeats” record label managed by the infamous producer duo Zeds Dead.
