Yo yo friends!
Strex here with a new release straight from the crazy dudes at VTO Records. This one the second volume of their Cells Interlinked series, the first was a straight up banger so you know you can expect great things within this 7 track release.
First up on the release is a track called The Pong by Impex. This is a no holds barred onslaught of wicked neuro with what sounds like ping pong balls cascading all over the place with different filters on them, making for a very interesting groove. The tune slaps!
Next up we have one from The Maniatics who are an act which I have been a fan of for a long time, this one has a lovely vocal over the intro leading you to a drop that is filled with funk and heavy beats and swirling bass. The track is called Run and I definitely think it would be a good one to run to. It’s a banger, that’s for certain.
The next track is called Brain Tag and it’s presented to us by Diode. A proper heavy beast of a tune that comprises of dark bass crunches and a disgusting beat and angry vocal samples. Love this one!
Beskar is up next, as we know this artist is a big Star Wars fan and he always brings a wicked sci-fi theme to his tracks. This one titled Starfighter has a very cinematic feel to it with a wicked building intro that leads you to a really heavy piece of music that gets your head nodding until it feels it’s going to come off, brilliantly produced bit of work this.
The next one we have on this behemoth of a release is called Violent Dreams by Monolith and quite frankly it’s digusting. It reminds me of old Barcode releases and it’s filth from start to finish. Not much more I can say about it really, just get yourself a copy and listen for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
The penultimate track is called Empty Dreams and is by Suspense Scene. A new artist to me, this one has a really cool electronic sounding intro with mechanical samples and then a vocal that takes you to the drop which is a sick neuro roller with some utterly fantastic samples, really cleanly produced and a well rounded track. Watch the switch up, oooof.
Lastly then on this release, we have Oxinous bringing us a track called Data Breach. The intro rumbles into life towards the drop, litterally, the bassline nearly melted by speakers. When it drops, its an absolute stomper and needs locking up. The switch up at the end of the phrases is just pure filth and I love it. There is more Barcode feeling vibes here and I’m OK with that.
So grab yourself a copy of this quality release from VTO Records from today, it’s mega!
