As 2017 starts, the folks over at Seminal Sounds have some pretty heavy releases coming down the pike for us this year. To kick things off is the heavy heavy heavy Endgame EP from Chris Cause that will be released on February 13th. Already established as promoter and DJ in Minneapolis, now its time to get to know his production. It is easy to tell he has a love of forward thinking music, production technique, and sounds that are influenced by the likes of classic Matrix and Optical.
The stand out track from me on this EP is “ Copperized” hand down. The effective call and response programming, lethal chest pounding bass, and metallic amen fills, and snap your neck rim shot snares just destroy anyone within ear shot when this one is dropped.
