CrucifyMe – Max-Tac Roll EP – VTO Records

by | Sep 26, 2025 | Releases, Tunes

Yo my favourite readers of this wonderful source of D&B music!  Strex back on Best Drum & Bass here with another heater of a release.

This week we have one from the VTO Records camp, so expect some high quality Neurofunk to bash your ears in!

This 4-track EP is from CrucifyMe who has brought us something special here, so let’s get into it.

First up we have Dog Fight which gives us a really cool sounding intro, building suspense and emotion as it skips us towards the drop.  The build up gets a really funky edge to it and some distorted bass.  Once it drops, you get a cool detuned bass sound that funks you up!

Next up we have Money Maker which brings some sounds of cash registers through the into and then we get a nice stabby bass coming in to give us a bit of punishment.  This one chugs along with a real Neuro sound and stops every now and then to bring those cash register sounds back in.  Love this one, a really cool use of some different sounds.

Thirdly we have Hoover.  The tune starts off with some really minimal sounds with a vocal over the top before the beat gradually comes in after being heavily filtered which gives a great effect.  This one drops into a nice dark, rolling tune with a deep bassline, corker of a tune!

Last but not least we have Playschool Poppin Pals.  This one has energy from the outset which takes us on a journey through the intro but letting us know we are in for something heavy hitting.  It does not disappoint, it’s a gritty tune with some quality sampling over the top.  The layered vocals add an extra depth to this wicked tune.

So this release from CrucifyMe is out today on VTO Records!  As always, click the artwork below or banner above to take you to the buy link and check those clips below if you don’t believe me when I say this one’s a banger!

Big love, Strex.

Absolute D&B nut! Love any type of Drum & Bass really but Neuro is my main passion. I got into D&B back in around 2004 where I started going raving, I then discovered heavier D&B in the form of Renegade Hardware nights in London which I attended almost every one for several years. Having developed my listening style with how the music has evolved I love the freshest tunes as well as the old ones! I've been mixing for fun since around 2005 and just love playing in front of people and sharing the music with likeminded people.
