One of the most widely known producers in the Drum and Bass scene has released his long-awaited EP called ‘Consequences’. The worldwide release date was originally set for tomorrow May 31st, however his label, MethLab Recordings, decided to release the full EP early, due to a potential digital store leak.
Current Value is a pioneer in Drum and Bass production. His music touches on the different influences from sub-genres in Drum and Bass and he uses these sounds to compile into his own unique vision and masterpiece. Current Value; also known as Tim Eliot; can credit the start of his career back in 1992 when he received a Casio keyboard for Christmas. He is classically trained in Piano and graduated from Audio Music school with an Audio Engineering diploma in 2004. 2005 is when Current Value was propelled into the top producers of Drum and Bass when Dylan Hilsley, owner of Freak Recordings, asked him to produce on his label. Current Value also started production work with Bjork on her album Biophilia in 2011 and is credited for a few remixes on the aforementioned album.
‘Consequences’ is a 5 song EP and is already receiving worldwide recognition. Rene Lavice featured ‘Dont Leave’ on his BBC1 Radio back on May 7th. Don’t Leave, Tilt and Interplay were also featured heavily in season 1 of Current Value’s audio-visual show, grab the Current Value EP here
