Devastate – The Bad Guy [Diamond Dubz]

Happy Monday everyone!! This week I found a little gem of a track that I wanted to share with everyone. It’s a smooth roller of a track called The Bad Guy by Devastate on the Diamond Dubz label. There is not much I could find about Devastate online, he is out of the UK (Birmingham?), seems to be a proud Dad, I can get behind that, and he has other releases on LW Recordings, seems to have tracks that go back 2017 so been at it for some time now. What made me take a deeper look at this guy’s music was the fact that as I write this Beatport has MANY of his latest tracks marked as Hyped and Exclusive!

The one we are talking about today is The Bad Guy, this track is hard to pinpoint exactly where it falls on the genre list…so I’m gonna call this a smooth roller. This track changes throughout very nice, some of it give me this DnB feel some of it gives me this smooth liquid feel. The use of the whistling to create that massively catchy melody was fantastic! There is this nice sample that gives it a toughness to it. I feel this track was put together very nicely from a production standpoint. Go listen to this track and comment what you think below!
Overall I’m really happy I found this track and this producer. I feel it is one of those tracks that can fit in many different places in a mix and used in many different ways. I cant wait to get this track on my decks and see what fun I can have with it!!
