                 ++++++ ENDUSER IS BACK +++++++

Ohio native, now located in Stockholm, Lynn Standafer aka End:user. Woke me out of a fever dream late last Sunday night. A YouTube notification lit my phone up. Just as I was falling asleep. I looked over to my night stand with a squint. Seeing words I have been yearning to hearer quite sometime. “ ENDUSER – NEW LP TEASER ” . Adding a cherry on top. This album is being released by Decay records. A side label to the stateside’s own Elm Imprint.

                .                        .FUCK YES

My history with this legendary and prolific producer goes back a really long way. I would say from the beginning. I came across his first release in 2003 on his own imprint , Sonic Terror Records . It was the definitive release for the Midwestern break core onslaught. Fifteen tracks of pure madness and beauty. He was making music that was terrifying. It was break neck. Deep into the darkness. Dripping German Digital Hardcore. Buried in amen choppage. With super solid production that wasn’t a total fucking nightmare to mix in a set.

The release that dropped on Michigan based Feed The Machine records. Was the record that cemented him into my ethos. As well as, many heads across the globe. Things to do in Queen City This EP changed the fucking game. It was so good that I personally bought a dozen copies of it. Just so if I ran into anyone who needed to have that Lp in their arsenal. I could be a bonified hero.

It seemed post 2004, there was a rapid fire fury of releases. Each one being at least a hefty EP. If not a full LP of amazing and versatile music. The collaboration with Bong-Ra , Submerged , Dj Hidden , Larvae and so many others. Was of legend. His music couldn’t be put into any box. Covering all bpms and genres within the realms of breakbeat culture. The one thing all of his art will always have in common. Is next level production, amazing composition, heretic juxtaposition, exemplary mix downs, cinematic tension & journeys between the darkest dark, and blinding light.

       OVER 25 YEARS OF MADNESS WITH 50+ RELEASES

That’s right, 25 years, 50+ mind bending releases, with well over 400 crafted analog and digital aural experiments. Albums I always go back to. Works that will always fall into a list of the top electronic releases of all time. Would be : The End // Bollywood Breaks // Pushing Back // Maneuver EP // Caustic Pulse // Run War. I highly encourage people to take a deep dive into his discography. For the first time, or as a reminder of how much we miss this type of music. As we are rapidly moving into a dystopian future of music that has abandoned the presence of a maestro , in favor of 3 minute copy pasta bangers. Curated off a formula to hit a metric. Instead of executing a vision and standing the test of time.

             SO WTF DO WE KNOW ABOUT THIS NEW ALBUM?

“I’ve put together a mix of all 13 tracks from the upcoming new album. It’s called ‘Unquiet’. I Hope you guys enjoy it! The LP will be out in January, with the first two singles dropping in November and December”. …. taken from the statement posted on his Facebook page

Normally this is the part where I extend the word count of an article. In an attempt to wow the reader with my ability to use a thesaurus. Waxing on and on about feelings, tension, depth, bingo’s & bongo’s. Citing the sci-fi dystopian edge of sanity direction the producers is taking us. Most definitely citing tracks from drum and bass’s ” golden era” . In an attempt to validate myself to a variety of readers whose experience in this movement range from ” extremely pretentious” to “with that fuck are drums?”. Mostly, its to help readers remember that this music has a truly amazing history, but this has been done before. After going through this music, many times over the last week. I really want you all to just go listen to it and have your own moment with it.

I genuinely hope people can have the experience with it that I did. It is a great peek into what’s coming. There isn’t more than a couple minutes, portions chopped from each track to chew on. However, it does create a salivating blood lust for every update, to every single part of the hype machine. Edging the fuck out of us till January. If you are already a fan. This is god damn tasty! If you don’t know of Enduser. Welcome to the party pal ! If this is just not for you. That’s genuinely ok to feel that way. It is a very specific tone and vibe.

Sometimes there are tones and movements that are intentionally crafted into the music that are meant to be uncomfortable. That’s why I love it. It will explain why if any of you see me, my face will look so damn refreshed and dewy. Without any fucks or apologies, I will be crying in the corner by myself waiting till January to get this, Come cry with me if you want, it’s cool.
