Gydra – Alpha (Enzy K Remix) [Neuropunk Records]
Back again with a new remix review. Let’s get to it.
Enzy K’s remix of Gydra’s “Alpha” brings a whole new level of in your face intensity, giving the original a fresh makeover. From the start, the track throws you into dark ominous vibes with its powerful basslines and intricate design. While Gydra’s signature hard-hitting style is still front and center, Enzy K adds their own precision, turning the track into what feels like a battle anthem from a dystopian future.
The remix builds tension in the intro with distorted sounds that undoubtedly set the mood. Then, when the drop hits, it’s pure chaos in the best way— with snappy drums, heavy bass, and glitchy layers. The energy is ever relentless, driving forward with fast-paced percussion, keeping the track’s intensity high from beginning until the end.
One of the best things about this track is how Enzy K manipulates the space throughout the track. There’s a distinct balance between the high energy aggressive nature of the tune, and the eerie breakdowns throughout that make this one special. It’ll keep you moving on the dancefloor, nodding along in the car, or listening along in your head phones. This remix is impressive. It’s well executed and any fan of Drum and Bass can find something they’ll love in this track. I can’t wait to see what Enzy K does next. If it’s anything like this remix, he’ll be turning heads with each new track.
