Recently we had interviewed Hatework Machine so I guess it’s only natural for us to review his latest release he had dropped on his bandcamp on November 19. I am always keen and awaiting anything this guy produces, as his hard, raw, pounding style fits my tastes perfectly.
The title track consists of a very atmospheric and emotional beginning just to end up dropping with a hard reese, just as expected, but on the other hand it’s hearable this guy has some new tricks up his sleeve.
If you enjoy deep melodies with a hard switch, this track is for you.
With this one we are being sent a dark path from the start, slowly hearing upcoming elements growing on the listener. Industrial hard drop, static pounding low bass, this track is typical Hatework Machine track with everything in it. You will be amazed at the percussion arrangement at the second drop, we can hear skullstep roots in those switches 😉
I would have never expected a deep, minimal track from Hatework Machine, but here it is, and even though it’s heavily influenced by harder styles, it remains with dark deep vibe, great vocal edits and usage, gotta love the cowbells.
What genre this man can not produce? As the name impies, it’s a jungle tune but don’t get fooled, it aint all the same amen breaks all over again, what I respect is that this sounds very much like jungle but I can’t distinguish amen sample here, sounds like all the drums were made by the man himself!
HUMANITY (BONUS TRACK FOR BUYING THE WHOLE EP)
This track combines everything you can hear in the previous tracks, I ain’t gonna spoil the fun of checking the bonus yourself 😉 Obtainable only when buying the whole EP through bandcamp.
