Greetings my drum and bass friends. Yet another brand new set of tracks are here. I share with you today the latest by Impex. Named How Low and its is down and dirty. Put out by one of the fastest growing labels today Korsakov. With releases on labels left and right like Dirt Box, Boomslang, and Histeria we are eager to see what comes next. His first dabbles in music with rock, metal, and hardcore in 2004 led him to want to create tracks with a newer vibe, approach and expression. Now he’s here to provide us with just that. His own style and techniques in sound design have been heard on tracks like Epic, The Need and Incoming. The dancefloor is waiting for more!
How Low kicks it off with the self titled track of course. Right from the beginning the vocal sample “How Low’ is in play. Complimented with eerie atmosphere and wavering bass. Flailing mid-bass adds high energy to the pitched up vocal. Rolling in next is The Choke. Entering in with some dangerous dialogue and high end to build it up. Getting straight to bouncy bass business and rocking with some nice rhythms throughout. Following up is the track Give Them Hope. Bringing the vibe with some bass hits later lined with claps and a clean arpeggiated synth. Slapping in some strong sub-bass along with slick synth melody creating a dancefloor like smasher. How Low was released on the 17th and is sure to set the scene a blaze. You can find it here for purchase and is available to listen on streaming platforms. For now enjoy an earlier banger from the man himself.
