The legend named John B returns to drop a brand new 3 pack of tunes on the DnB world. LAVA is the new release on the mighty Metalheadz from one of the most iconic names in the game. It’s been a while since John B graced the skull with the headphones. Across his career he has released genre defining music. These tracks are exactly what you would want from John B on Metalheadz. One side has the dark vibe, one side has soul.
Let’s start of with the title track LAVA. With the hard hitting drums and dark undertones. This tune is right out of the heart of the Metalheadz sound. Delivering precision drum work with the nasty dark DnB we have come to love. Track two Lie To Me is a bit different. It has a soulful vibe to it. With the head bouncing stepping feel to it. This tune is a dance floor mover for sure. John has included a bonus tune for the masses as well on this release. The Colossus is a bonus track that seems to meld the dark and soulful vibe perfectly. Reminiscent of some older tunes from Metalheadz this is a bonus to be excited about. With more amazing drum work and bass line rolls, this is my favorite tune of this release.
John B continues to make legendary moves in the DnB world. He is hitting North America on tour end of May to early June. I hope the US is ready for a history lesson from one of the best teachers in the game. LAVA is OUT NOW on all digital media outlets and direct from the Metalheadz website.
