Fresh off the monster release of the Hungry Tiger Remixes, AKO Beatz has another gem forthcoming in Mantra’s “Powder of Life”. This is one of tunes for me that lets me close my eyes, and get lost in an amen mash up. It starts out with an intro break that reminds me almost of an old hardcore shuffled break with a reverbed synth chimes on top that sets the tone for the tune. The drop brings in an amen rinse out, perfectly placed edits, and deep and strong bass that sits slightly in the background, mindful that star of this show are the drums. The icing on the cake is the moody atmospherics that sum up bring the emotion of this tune home for me. Top notch release coming early November from AKO Beats.
