Matrix and Futurebound – Tardis [Viper]

Labor day weekend is upon us. It is the last bit of summer and I can imagine that  this weekend will be packed with sun, BBQ, friends, and some amazing music.

I do not believe there is a more iconic drum and bass duo then Matrix and Futurebound. Since 2005 they have been sizzling up dance floors across the world with their melodic soundscapes, huge dance floor tunes and original vocals; they are notably true pioneers in drum and bass music. In 2012, Matrix and Futurebound had their first Top 40 hit with ‘All I Know’, which charted at #29 in the UK singles charts. This was followed by ‘Magnetic Eyes’ which also reached the Top 40, charting at #24. In 2013, Matrix and Futurebound released their biggest hit to date with ‘Control’ which broke into the UK Top 10.

Now, in 2018 ‘Tardis’ hits us with a straight up dance floor anthem.

Matrix and Futurebound show us their underground roots with this mysterious and filthy track. The track starts with dark into which sets the scene, the song also has exciting vocal samples and shimmering melodies which create an atmosphere equally haunting and mesmerizing. The song is packed with drums and backed with driving bass. It has been tearing up dance floors worldwide and I could not see a more fitting track to close out the summer.
