Mean Teeth – Multitude [Impact]

0

Mean Teeth, a name burned into a lot of our minds after an absolute blaze of a trail through 2017. Arriving in 2018, we now have their first EP debuting on Impact recordings. My choice for review this week is the cut “Multitude”, a dark chugging dancefloor nightmare designed for the speakers.

“Multitude” opens with a minimal soundscape contrasted by a drilling bassline scream. Filtered percussive elements fade into view as the listener is delivered into the first dance section. A chugging bass riff is introduced and arranged with sections of the opening drilling scream effect. The arrangement varies from measure to measure keep the track fresh and fun on the dancefloor.

Mean Teeth were responsible for some of my favorite reviews last year. I approached this year fully expecting them to continue the course. “Multitude” already has me glued to the speakers as a taste of things to come.
