Straight outta Russia the St. Petersburg native producer MindHead, a dnb warrior that has been putting out tasty music on some responsable labels that are giving birth to what I call the “New Wave Of Russian Neurofunk”) brings us a rumbling new musical imprint LYING TV / SUBMARINE on the well known Invasion Recordings. A label that is known for dirty basslines and cranked up drums on every release and now rising through its 4 years of existence as a portal for some fresh talents on this side of the globe.
The first cut is an upcoming bomb, with a filtered intro that opens for a siren wobbly lead that goes up and up and smashes the drop on a wavy and distorted bassline just to break down the beat of the next bars with mixed percussions that unwind on a melodic breakdown. And it’s just the start, for the second drop the main Bassline takes a swift into a different rate and busts the track to another level.
The next shot delivers a collaborator with the Kirov producer CI-Energy a really catchy synth starts up the track, indeed could be part of an 80’s horror movie, really awesome ambient that fills the whole spectrum before the drop. A combination of a strapping sub bass with a deep roller drum set filled up with a lead synth that climbs with the pitch and gives a trippy sensation to the track.
