MSDOS – West End – D-LiQ Records

The sun is shining!  The weather is hot!  It’s here!  It’s finally here!  Summer is upon us!

That can only mean one thing, some real summer vibes coming from the D-LiQ Records camp and this one from label staple, MSDOS.

First up we have a tune that tickles us with the Think break called Church House which has a lovely piano riff throughout which just oozes that Summer feeling.  I love listening to this sort of Drum & Bass when the weather is like this outside.  The second drop even whets your appetite with a nice little half time piece which builds you back up to get back to that 170bpm that we all know and love.  Wicked tune MSDOS, thank you.

Next up is the title track, West End.  Immediately you are taken to a place far away.  I almost feel like I’m late arriving on holiday and the sun is setting but I’m in the car travelling to my destination, hoping I’ll make it in time to have a quick party before it’s time to hit the hay.  With a driven beat and some wicked sampling the tune is a real groove and a quality piece of production.  For the breakdown we get a lovely harmonious saxaphone which continues into the second drop and just adds to that vibe.

Great release, thank you MSDOS and D-LiQ for bringing the summer alive!

Don’t take my word for it though, have a listen to the clips below and then go and buy this on the 19th June 2023, link to D-LiQs Beatport below:

Absolute D&B nut! Love any type of Drum & Bass really but Neuro is my main passion. I got into D&B back in around 2004 where I started going raving, I then discovered heavier D&B in the form of Renegade Hardware nights in London which I attended almost every one for several years. Having developed my listening style with how the music has evolved I love the freshest tunes as well as the old ones! I've been mixing for fun since around 2005 and just love playing in front of people and sharing the music with likeminded people.
