Lets take a listen at some of the tunes in discussion today.
#1 Grey Code – I Am Here
Grey Code really smashes this one starting out the tune with immense and theatrical horns building up a forward thinking style dancefloor tune with a deep and rolling bassline paired with laser sharp percussion to really round this one to be a formidable rave weapon.
#2 GROUND – Touch Sensitive
GROUND brings ” Touch Sensitive” to the forefront of the EP featuring a dark and moody atmosphere looming in the intro with a lusciously creeping backdrop of synths. Touch Sensitive builds up nicely into the drop as stepping and technical drum work are backed by a wicked bass line to match.
#3 Ordure – Upper Crust
Badmen Duo Ordure switches up the tone a bit with a extremely heavy halftime track set to bang up the party. Upper Crust sets the tone with some interestingly chopped vox with the percussive elements really firing into gear before dropping into a bombshell of energy. Upper Crust dives into a building and grinding stepper with powerful leads.
#4 Skylark – Two Face
Skylark comes in with a wicked deep and brooding technical roller. Two Face lays down solid drums with dark and intricate programming backed by some heavily atmospheric soundscapes to balance out the tones.
#5 Wingz & Nosfer – Shallow
The combination of Wingz and Nosfer with this collaboration has proven to be a deadly one. Shallow really gets down and dirty with the intro setting its tone dark and ominous before launching into the drop. Shallow drops into a powerful stepper while maintaining its gargantuan bassline and powerful kicks keeping the tune plenty strong.
