No joking around this week with MV and Abducted LTD bringing some serious stompers to the scene with “Clown Business” and “No Money”. It was about last year this time I was featuring MV in the ‘Artists to Follow’ series and since then this passionate producer has been an ever evolving monster in the studio keeping the tunes flowing with non-stop neurofunk power! Now it’s time to get into the release for a double dose of devious DNB from MV!
NO MONEY
Swirling synths smolder through the build, the highs ticking in tandem welcoming a wary melody to the mix. Weaving and wobbling toward the drop a dramatic break in the build amplifies the anticipation … ‘Your Card is Declined’. Angry basslines groan booming and swaying as they soak in the onslaught of snares and snickering melodies that slither through the tune. Crisp, clean neuro with a moody groove “No Money” is sure to make the floor move and the second drop brings a surprise as MV flips it into overdrive!
CLOWN BUSINESS
What’s that about “Clown Business?” … Well one thing’s for sure MV isn’t playing around! Leading off with a sinisterly bouncy vibe the kicks burst in stealing the show with stuttered savagery on the sampling and a menacing bassline adding to the threatening mood. “HI!” A cutthroat sample smokes the build, clowning through the mix graphically thick, peeled straight from a cult classic ‘The Devil’s Rejects’. The drop stomps in with a complete molly womp slicing and dicing through the phrases with buoyant, stealthy energy to move the floor and burst the bins. Grinding, twisting and pulverizing the mix “Clown Business” has one task and that’s to slay the floor front to back.
