Critical Music has been bringing cutting edge tunes to the forefront of drum and bass in the last few years with recent releases from heavy hitters like Mefjus, Current Value and Enei. Binary Vol. 5 from Posij is right up there with the big boys. The song I would like to highlight in this article is “Change”. This one has it all, and some! The beat is very “steppy” yet simple, and the bass line hits deep and heavy in your chest. Right after the break downs, you will get a slight and swift change in key and drum patterns, catching you happily of guard (don’t worry you will be able to continue to dance because its not a complete switch up), then… Bam! right back to that heavy beat you were getting on down to. As most things I would tell you about here at Best Drum and Bass, I recommend grabbing the whole album, but if you only have to pick one, “Change” will get that dance floor moving and your head bobbing.
