It’s the last Monday of January already…wow! Even though time is flying by I found something that made me stop and enjoy the bass…Prolix’s new track out on LA’s Bassrush Records, Mind Rush. Prolix is no stranger to the scene, his productions are among the best in the game so I wont get into the Trendkill boss’s resume…if you don’t know by know, well you’re welcome!
Mind Rush starts off with a bit of an epic intro with this vocal that is used as a melody then cut! and in comes the darker harder side as it builds up for a nice Prolix drop! He takes the higher pitched intro and drops the pitch a bit and adds that nasty neuro screechy distorted bass we all come to love from neurofunk. As the norm with Prolix, the snare hits and the complexity of the drums doesn’t disappoint!
Mind Rush flows nicely and can be used on the decks in many ways like just another layer with the epic intro or you can drop it hard on the main like I think Prolix meant it to be! Over all, you will hear this track in my mixes in 2020…no doubt that I wont be the only one! I wonder what else we will see from the UK man Prolix and LA’s Bassrush Records in 2020!!
