Slang Banger – Hoxton [ProgRAM]

0

The mythical production outfit known as Slang Banger is back once again. Over the course of the last couple years the group has landed some of the ruffest cuts onto RAM Records sister label ProGRAM focusing more on the techy and abstract beats. What they have this time around is no different. If you are familiar with Resonant Evil, Pixelfist, Insasin, and Afghan Headspin you might realize why this crackpot of producers manages to pump out some seriously cranking tunes.

Slang Bangers “Hoxton” is a fist full of power packed into an 87 BPM joyride of a tune. Starting of the tune with a sense of impeding doom and terror “Hoxton” provides ethereal synths that are sure to send shivers up your spine. Punchy and metalicized percussion comes in with tension and mystery as a winding break quickly comes in and out of existence. Into the drop comes an onslaught of treacherous drum breaks and heavily distorted saw synths that dig into you frontal cortex. This one cranks out oldschool vibes with modern day production and sound that is sure to rip apart any dancefloor it comes across.

Overall this tune is my favorite of Slang Banger’s new Locations EP. All of my favorite elements of the early 2000’s sound in a modern day setting just make this one shred that much harder. Be sure to give this one a listen. The locations EP is out now on ProgRAM at every fine major music reatiler online.
