The boys over at State Of Mind return with a brand new action packed EP on Eatbrain. “The Automata EP” is a 6 track dancefloor bomb. Featuring a variety of flavors, the cut contains a little something for everyone. The track I have found myself reaching for most has been the Maztek collaboration, “Back From The Edge”.
The track opens with big pads and a trickling synth. You’re taken a journey through various synth layers and tribal drums as the track builds into the first dance section. Sci-fi vibes runneth over as you’re hit with a wide cruising bassline. Plenty of percussion work is varied measure to measure to keep things fresh and enticing. A repeating synth stab is introduced as the tune stomps towards the break down, maximizing the impact to the dancefloor.
State Of Mind has been setting the standard for Club based Neurofunk. With a sound that is hard hitting and edgy but still absolutely accessable, its easy to see why they have become some of the scene favorites in the genre.
