Stonx – Nasty EP – Neuropunk Forge

Howdy DnB fans!  

This week from me, Strex, we are covering a new release on Neuropnk Forge.  This one is from the mighty mighty Stonx who just keeps on going with the awesome releases and this one is no exception.  You’re going to love it!

The EP has been named Nasty and it is just that, an absolute filth bath from start to finish so lets get right into it!

First track we are treated to is the title track, Nasty.  It builds with a moody atmosphere until it reaches the point of the drop which states “Nasty” in a cool vocal sample.  The tune is actually quite a rolling affair but it comprises a brilliantly produced bassline with strong reece bass and a wicked snare.  Disgusting business, lets hear what else is on offer!

Pulse Wave is up next.  This is a tune I recently put into one of my sets, CLICK HERE for that!  This is a chugging, rolling neuro beast that has some wicked samples and a driven beat that has a wicked resonance on the snare and some chilling neuro sound effects that makes this one my pick of the EP for sure.

Last but by no means least, we have “Look at the Funk” which is pretty chilled to start with, giving you a break from the onslaught of destruction that has preceded this.  Once it drops though it’s a real head nodder and some real chunky stabs that send me wild.  What a beast of a track.  Thanks Stonx, I need new underwear now.

What a phenomenal EP, loving the rolling, funky but heavy Neuro that gives you what you want from A to B.  The EP is out today (20th September) the day before my birthday so what a treat!
