In just under two years Cyberfunk has been storming onto the scene with releases from some of the largest acts in Drum&Bass right now. Having had largely successful events all throughout the UK and Europe Cyberfunk has been making waves in the community. Newcomer SubMarine has been releasing tunes has stepped up to the plate for Cyberfunk this time around bringing his tech influenced sound on the highly curated first LP for the label.
SubMarines’s contribution to the Cyberfunk V/A LP comes in the form of a tune named possibly after the famous club drink. Club Mate starts off with clock like movement percussive elements moving into the distance with thick and dreary atmospheric sounds. Thick bass chugs into the soundscape as silence is met with gargantuan sized battle horns morphing into a vocal sample as thick metallic amens rip apart at the wounds inflicted by growling reese bass cuts. The tune progresses into multiple planes of variating drum breaks and fills keeping it fresh throughout the entire track.
Overall this release along with the rest of the Cyberfunk LP are top contenders on the market of tools for crushing dancefloors right now. The LP is out now on Cyberfunk!
