T F Sobers – Street Sax – D-LiQ Records

Hello and welcome to another write-up from Strex!

This one is a new release on D-LiQ Records from T F Sobers which is named Street Sax!  Looking forward to listening to this new liquid release!  T F Sobers is a new signing to the label this is a new moniker for his liquid releases, some of you may be able to work out who it is if I was to say hes an established Jungle DJ from Nottimgham in the UK.  This release we are about to look at is showing how talented and versatile this arist is.

So the first track is Hold Me which starts with a nice muted drum beat and piano sample which already brings a beautifully chilled vibe.  As the intro presses on you are met with an instantly recognisable vocal which is from a Ne-Yo track called Closer.  A really nice use of a great vocal here and the tune is such a lovely piece of music to listen to.  Really one for chilling in the garden to, if this British weather would start showing some signs of improving!!

Next up we have the title track for the release, Street Sax which brings in a wicked saxaphone which dominates most of the intro but is a real subtle sounding Blues sax which you could just imagine eminating from a back street club in America.  The bass line when the tune drops shows where T F Sobers gets a bit of Jungle influence.  It’s a wicked bassline and really gets you grooving along with that Sax the whole tune is brilliantly composed.

Thanks to D-LiQ for another cool release, looking forward to the next one already.

This will be released on Saturday 29th April 2023 and can be picked up from:

Absolute D&B nut! Love any type of Drum & Bass really but Neuro is my main passion. I got into D&B back in around 2004 where I started going raving, I then discovered heavier D&B in the form of Renegade Hardware nights in London which I attended almost every one for several years. Having developed my listening style with how the music has evolved I love the freshest tunes as well as the old ones! I've been mixing for fun since around 2005 and just love playing in front of people and sharing the music with likeminded people.
