Telekinesis – Fight Club EP

When it comes to labels catering specifically to the neurofunk sound, we’re spoilt for choice these days. As the twisting, snarling reese basses and tight production values typical of the genre have increased in popularity over the years, so too has the number of labels pushing what seems to be many peoples favourite style of drum & bass.

One of the leading lights in this ocean of neuro is surely Blackout Music. Launched just 2 years ago, and with the legendary Black Sun Empire at the helm, it has cemented itself as one of the top labels in the scene with impeccably high quality control and a consistent release schedule of both new and established artists.

Their latest offering comes in the form of an absolutely fire EP from Slovenian duo Telekinesis. Featuring five tracks of equal parts violent, punchy drums and mutating basslines, it’s difficult to pick a personal favourite. Featured track Jab is a standout moment though, with its tight breaks and apocalyptic build ups that remind me of early Renegade Hardware business, but the rest of the EP is equally top notch.

Catch the release as a Beatport exclusive, or on all other digital stores in a week or two.
