The weekend is upon us and nothing gets my weekend vibes going then some beautiful liquid drum and bass. ‘Playing the Changes’ by Villem has 12 songs filled of all things that you expect with the liquid drum and bass side of things. This EP is two years in the making and it is well worth the wait. Let it Breathe is my favorite song on the EP, it is a well crafted and melodic song that has silky smooth lyrics. Say Yes has a gorgeous piano riff that relaxes you into bliss. Kukicka is a bit faster sounding but still comes with the vibe that is perfect for weekend chilling. This EP is exactly who Villem is, an artist who specializes in low ends that soothe the soul of the home listener and those punchy breaks that destroy the dance floor when the dancer comes out in all of us.  Villem has roots stemming from Hip Hop, Funk and Soul and his influences are clear when listening to his productions.

He has partnered with Spearhead Records who have been established since 2005 and is a label that continuously puts out solid records with high-end producers. Heavy weights such as Total Science , Camo & Krooked , and Hybrid Minds all have released on Spearhead.
