As we prepare to exit one of the hottest summers ever recorded. The drum and bass phenom, Andy C, drops a feel good hit! Teaming up with vocalist Mali Koa and Armada Music to send the gospel of P.L.U.R through the speaker stacks. “Come Together” is the tune, enjoying the moment with friends is the vibe.

The tune opens up in a state of calmness and comfort. Like the intro screen of Animal Crossing or a Youtube vapor wave loop.Then after a few moments the lead vocal by Mali slides in. Stacked and layered in like a send off line from pop sensation Icona Pop. Insert a major key synth melody in Dimension fashion & an easy kick/clap percussive build up. Then were off to the drop. Which drops at a moderate level of energy. Not too hard, not too soft. Just enough excitement to let you know it dropped. Without taking you to the danger zone.

As “Come Together” progresses, it stays nice and smooth . Basslines that ride the lower hertz with ease. Accompanied by a straight and steady drum line holding the tension and staying in a comfortable pocket. Letting the vocals do all the heavy lifting and provide the hooks that are easy to sing along too. Creating a song that is meant for grabbing onto your homies and having a good ol karaoke sesh on the dance floor.

This one is the type of song that can open a set. Be a great transition track or a great way to end a set with a happy send off. Per usual for Andy C, the production here is smooth and big. It strays aways from the hyper banger he released at the beginning of the summer, as Train Track, and leans into being an easy going mainstream pop music influenced roller. I get a little Murdock, a little 1991, touches of Sub Focus and a whole lot of Kats Eye and K-pop vibes. This song could smash a festival. It could be the next anthem for Love Island UK or be the backing track for a fun Eli- Lilly ad.

This one is manufactured for a major success across a broad spectrum of people. Seasoned drum and bass fans will love this. Aging newcomers/ Old School empty nesters returning to the rave after a 20 year hiatus will smash this. It has a very youthful and fun energy. This song doesn’t take itself too seriously or is trying to rewrite the genre. It’s a calculated piece of work and just encourages us to let go of whatever holds us back. To just dance and have fun. Let your feet and the speakers do all the healing.
