DJ Komatose – Rock N Rollerz EP 3 – Dirtbox Recordings

Strex here with his weekly article to give you a dose of what’s hot in the world of releases this week.  

We have another release from Dirtbox Recordings this week which is Episode 3 of the Rock N Rollerz EP, from DJ Komatose, his first release on the label.  

First up on the release we have a track called Feel It.  This one starts with a nice chilled vibe that get a wicked vocal over the top as it moseys onto the drop.  You then get treated to a gnarly little reece which makes you know this is going to come with some firepower.  A wicked rolling tune and rolling, pulsating bass line gives you a treat as it you nod your head in approval of the vibe this tune is giving off.  Wicked one here from Komatose.

Next up we have Gun Runna.  This has a kind of old skool grime sound over the top of the hats and then the beat kicks in to draw you ever close to that drop.  This drops with another rolling bass line but it’s got a more stompy feel to it and there is a quality reece that makes up the tune.  Loving this one, had to listen to it a few times just to be sure 😉

Lastly we have a track which features MC Sensi called Roll Upon The Rhythm.  The intro gives some old skool tech vibes on this one especially with the guttural reece and filthy bass line.  Sensi brings the hype on this one and I’ll be honest, this wouldn’t have sounded out of place at The End Club at a Renegade Hardware night.  Really wicked sound on this one.
