PAPERFUNK COMP UNLEASHES A GLOBAL BEAST!!!

On February 27th, 2026. Moscow based label, Paperfunk Records, will launch the fifth installment in their “Only Funks” series. A global collaboration of artists with features on full length LP’s ranging from 15 to 20 tracks per release. Ranging from neurofunk to dark technoid & heavy drum and bass vibes. These releases are an eclectic and diverse gathering of styles that represent the future of the genre. All from the mastermind of the one like Russian badman Paperclip.

This fifth edition takes us on a ride with heavy hitters from the eastern block down to the UK and even over to the Stateside and Aussie homies. We always get a proper amount of blasters from regulars MalinovyJohn , Nervorum , Verzor & PrashaRav. But on this cycle it’s dope to see collars coming onto the tracklist from Diode , Stonx, Transforma & Bestdnb hefe Bad Syntax. Out of the 17 songs here, there is an equal blend of dancefloor flavors, neurofunk slammers , and technoid damage. With a couple duppy rollers, cybernetic techy sub killers and head pounding 4×4 hybrid drillers in the mix for a switch up!

The tunes that really standout to me and play to my palette would be . The monster opening tune from Paperclip & 1NVERTER called “Ultrafunk” . It’s a dancefloor beast that slashes through the crowd. TNTKILLS & Transforma bring the heat with a prog metal influenced song called ” In the Darkness“. Toyfon and Stonx bring a nasty dark roller with ” Penoplast” backed up with a hammer by Diode & 3XILE called “Place get Up” .

All in all, this is a great addition to an already killer series of LP compilations. If you have already beaten the dnb massive to death with the previous four Only Funks LP’s, Keep the pressure heavy pan dem by going and picking up this release this Friday! It will be available on Juno & Beatport.
