Pragon – The Journey EP – Dirtbox Recordings

Good day to you all Best Drum & Bass readers!  Strex back this week with another relase!  We have something really cool for you from Dirtbox Recordings.  This EP is from an artist called Pragon, a Russian producer who has been producing music for a long time now, starting with House and moving more recently into D&B.

First up on this EP we have Rhythmic Push.  This track starts with some funk with a bit of a Grime vocal over the top which gets the head nodding back and forward, building nicely to the drop which is a layered piece of music with a deep and stabby bassline over the top.  A wicked track that gives us a great vibe of what we are in store for the rest of the EP.

Next up we have Valley Ascent.  This one is quite atmospheric to begin with, with a sweet and smooth vocal over the top as the tune builds to the drop which is a wicked vibey musical track that keeps on giving with it’s wicked samples and melody.

Last but not least we have Alarm Street.  This track starts with a minimal beat over a effect laden voice which gives us a Chase & Status style track, comprising of a heavy riff and chunky beat.  This track is really cool and although it clearly has some influence in the style, it is definitely its own identity.
