R-Vee – Midnight Drive – D-LiQ Records

Yo friends!

Got another write up for you this weekend.  This one from my friends over at D-LiQ Records for a number for a Sunday.  This one is out on Monday 25th August and is brought to us by R-Vee, a staple to this label now.

First up we have the title track, Midnight Drive which is a really cool tune from the outset.  Combining a melodic riff over the top of a slightly heavy drum beat this one leads you nicely to the drop which as per the title seems perfect to listen to on a midnight drive.  The bass is crisp, the drums are on point and the rhythm is top notch.  Really great track here from R-Vee.

Next up we have Too Much Pressure, not sure if that’s a thing when it comes to D&B but hey.  This has a really wicked melody that takes me back to some really old school jungle with ragga vocals and quality beat that transcends you towards the drop which goes off with an early D&B vibe that hits you straight across the face.  This one is a really wicked track and takes me back to where it all began.  Thanks R-Vee, that’s a great nostalgia trip.
