Welcome to the launch of Artist of the Agez, a new weekly spotlight dedicated to showcasing the talent powering the biggest drum & bass events landing in North America. Each week we’ll dive into two artists from the upcoming Let It Roll Puerto Rico and Jungle Bells 2025 lineups, giving you a closer look at the sounds and stories behind the names you’ll be experiencing live. With both festivals set to raise the bar for D&B on this side of the globe, think of this series as your guide to the artists making it all unforgettable. Rudimental

Rudimental are a London drum & bass collective from Hackney, active since 2009 and currently comprised of Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden, and Leon “Locksmith” Rolle. They broke through in 2012–2013 with festival-sized, vocal-led D&B anthems and a chart-topping debut era that pushed the genre into mainstream spaces. In August 2025 they returned with their fifth studio album RUDIM3NTAL, their first as a three-piece following the 2022 departure of former member Amir Amor.

The Upbeats

The Upbeats are New Zealand duo Jeremy Glenn (Terror Snake) and Dylan Jones (Downie Wolf), originally from Wellington. Known for high-energy sets and sharp sound design across neurofunk and melodic cuts, they’ve released on respected imprints and collaborated with scene heavyweights. Their 2015 collaboration with Noisia,
“Dead Limit,” became a modern festival staple.
