TF Sobers – Hey Girl – D-LiQ Records

Yo Best Drum & Bassers!  I’ve got a special release for you this week from TF Sobers on the wicked liquid label D-LiQ Records.

A 3-part EP here which is from an artist who has shown their talents on D-LiQ in the past to great effect and this one is no exception.

First up we have the title track Hey Girl which is a beautifully smooth number has a night time feel to it with a really quality vocal over the top, a gentle melody and gritty drum beat.  Something that is mysterious while giving you a badass tune all in all.  That bassline is to die for too!

Next up we have Lost which starts off in a really cool way, not your average D&B intro which is a nice change.  The beat is muted but prominent is that makes sense.  The vocal really takes you on a journey through to a switch up in the tempo and force in the track which launches you to a heavier beast and gives you really something to dance to.  

Lastly we have “You Make Me” with its harps and string melody to begin with and D&B beat that starts to creep in before giving you a wicked vocal and bassline to heighten the mood towards the drop.  Once it drops, it’s a really driven piece of music that keeps those interesting instruments and kickstarts an even better bassline.
