Tao of Amen ” UNITY” 4 year anniversary will be INSANE!!
For the past four years. October signals the official end of the festival and touring cycles of 2025. Since 2021, it also means the truly prolific outfit based in Grand Rapids Michigan, Tao of Amen, will be throwing a cantankerous jungle themed bang fest! On October 11th , this years convergence of the Great Lakes junglist massive is going to be bananas! Many people throughout the country, will once again, make a pligrimage towards this truly underground “Gathering of the jungle’os” . I have had the honor traveling back to my stomping grounds the last 3 years to lay down the business for the homies. Per usual, TOA is continuing to raise the bar, year after year. Per usual, your boy D_E_B_T will be en la casa!
TOA isn’t just a promotional company. Set to throw sterile events designed for ticket sales, content generating clicks on socials , or selling merchandise. Not once have they used artist metrics to maximize visibility and attendance potential. With bookings that solely ride trends in dnb sculpted by Spotify numbers and agency relationships. It’s a collective of dj’s, producers, painters, graphics designers, sound engineers, fire breathers , dancers & live art creators. Who all have a vested interest in maintaining a community built around a specific culture and sound. As someone who has been apart of performing at many of these events. I’ve personally witnessed all the moving parts and people responsible for creating this space for jungle. It is nothing short of magical and inspiring. Hence the name “UNITY“. These people are junglists, who throw shows for junglists.

Paradox is back! This will be the second time this legendary UK artist will rock the bins at Unity. If you are familiar with this icon. That sense of ” how far is Grand Rapids ? ” is hitting you right now. If not, I highly encourage you to dig into his work and bless yourself in the lake of Amenology . He is here once again to perform a live set, peeling our faces off and undoing years of a regimented skin treatment.
Speaking of icons coming back to Unity. We will get to be absolutely annihilated by a b2b vinyl set from two of the most iconic stateside jungle dj’s to ever play, Soundmurderer & Mark “8en” Moss. Todd Osborn aka Soundmurderer (co-founder of Rewind Records and former owner of the original 90’s vinyl record store Dubplate Pressure ) the definition of a “don”. He is a truly prolific artist in multiple genres ,with releases across some of the most iconic labels on the planet. Coming to baptize us in records we probably have never even heard. Same with 8en. I cannot think of a single human in North America that has a larger collection of ORGANISED and CARED for vinyl. If there was a phd in drum and bass music/ culture. He would be the head of that department.

Speaking of professors, the one like Ronin Selecta [AGN7 AUDIO] is dropping in to round out the Mitten 30 year reunion of the “founders”. Ronin has been in the game since its appearance, as a formidable force behind the decks with style and selection. Today he runs one of the most important labels in modern era of dnb, AGN7 AUDIO . Releasing masterpieces that constantly remind us where this art came from, and how far it can go.
Rounding out the front and back end of this extravaganza , will be a b2b from the Arizona based Meltdnb duo, D_E_B_T & David Pierog . When these two selectors get together it is never anything short of a dubplate massacre. You can expect a set of exclusive tunes and rare tracks from some of the hardest artists to access. With residents Nico Blue, D’Luna & Sylock opening and closing out the festivities. The vibe is going to start hot & and end even hotter! The barometric presha inside the venue is going to get out of control.

Other than the date, location & line-up, we can’t put much else out there. Not because the information isn’t available. I just feel like keeping the curtain closed till showtime is one of the best parts of these events. Being at them is a continuation of old school party traditions. The event will start at 10pm and go till 5am. It is 21+. It will feature an amazing sound system ran by some of the best artists to touch ever jungle music. There is no bar, it is BYOB and 420 friendly. You have to become a member of the Freeman Guild to attend. As this is an artist compound and is ran soley by donations from its members. Membership can be obtained before the event, or onsite. This event will be somewhere in Grand Rapids Michigan, and the fun part is finding it.
