This EP has a great progression from duppy stepper heat, shown in the tune “Malfunction“. Then moves us into a collaboration with Screamarts in the keytar and cowbell driven rolling slapper in “Groove to It‘ . The finishing move comes by way of the title track ” Time Machine” . Which, in my opinion, is the perfect blend of French neuro and Chicago footwork. This track is frighteningly good. In a way that sends a memo to all the haters in comment sections that cry ” there’s no more funk in neurofunk”. It’s rare for me to hear a take on neurofunk I haven’t heard before. I have been riding this train since I acquired the infamous Wormhole LP on Virus well over 2 decades ago. But this one just hits different. When I think I’ve heard it all. Another amazing producer, making uniquely amazing music. Changes that dialogue for me completely. It gives me hope, makes me smile, pulls gun fingers into the oxygen & makes me dance. I will have this entire EP in my rotation for a longtime, and highly suggest you get on this neurofunk soul train asap. Cause this one is fucking wild!!
